I'm Warren, founder of Backyard Brothers, a premier outdoor living company serving the Texas Hill Country. What started as a passion project has grown into a trusted team of outdoor enthusiasts who share my obsession with detail and genuine love for keeping pools in top condition with the best pool service and creating custom outdoor spaces.
My foundation in construction stems from military service as a U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant (E-5) and Structural Engineer (AFSC 3E351), where I managed construction projects under military standards and safety protocols. I worked on commercial multi-million-dollar projects, including several Bass Pros, which were my favorite. Prior to military service, I developed hands-on expertise in carpentry, masonry, pipefitting, and welding, covering residential, commercial, and industrial applications that provide the technical versatility essential for comprehensive outdoor projects. Amid my USAF days, I went to college at the University of Missouri and Columbia College, ultimately earning a psych degree I'd never formally use ;)
I moved to the Hill Country almost nine years ago and immediately felt at home among the kind people and tight-knit communities. This deep appreciation for the region's lifestyle and natural beauty influences every project we take on—from our primary focus on pool service and maintenance to completely one-of-a-kind outdoor utopias.
When I'm not maintaining pools or helping bring dreams to life for others, I enjoy my own custom backyard oasis with my family. I'm often found exploring local antique shops, health food stores, and the beautiful waterways that make the Hill Country so special.
